Rock al Parque 2027: Expected Dates, Line-up and Free Festival Guide

Rock al Parque is Latin America’s largest free rock festival, held in Bogota’s Parque Simon Bolivar since 1995 and run by the city’s arts institute, Idartes. Three days, several stages and hundreds of thousands of attendees, with rock, metal, punk, ska and electronic acts from Colombia and abroad. The 2026 edition, its 30th, is scheduled for 10 to 12 October 2026 (official site).

2027 dates: expected, not confirmed

No 2027 dates have been published. The calendar has not been stable: the 2024 edition ran 9 to 11 November, 2025 ran 21 to 23 June, and 2026 moves to October. Our placeholder of 9 to 11 October 2027 simply follows the 2026 slot, so do not book non-refundable travel until Idartes confirms. Line-ups are usually announced two to three months before the festival.

What to expect

Entry is free, so there is no ticket to buy, and crowds are large on headliner nights. Stages run in parallel: a main stage for the biggest acts and smaller stages for emerging Colombian bands and international support. The audience is mixed in age and background, which gives the festival its character. Past headliners have included Sepultura, Molotov and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs.

Getting there and staying safe

Parque Simon Bolivar is in the Teusaquillo area. Use TransMilenio to Ricaurte or Avenida 68 stations, then walk 10 to 15 minutes. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are available but slow on festival nights. Bogota sits at 2,600 metres and evenings drop to around 10 degrees Celsius, with frequent rain in October and November, so carry a poncho and warm layers. Keep phones in front pockets and carry only the cash you need.
