Colombia's nightlife runs deep. Cali is the world capital of salsa, with dedicated salsa bars (salsotecas) where locals dance until sunrise. Bogota's Chapinero district has a thriving cocktail and club scene, Cartagena's Getsemani neighbourhood mixes old-town bars with rooftop venues overlooking the walled city, and Medellin's Parque Lleras area is the centre of Antioquia's going-out culture.
