San Gil in the Santander department is known as Colombia’s adventure capital, and of all the activities on offer - white-water rafting, bungee jumping, rappelling - paragliding stands out for the views it delivers. The launch sites sit above the RÃo Fonce valley with sightlines across the corrugated Andean ridges that define this part of Colombia. On a clear day you can see the Chicamocha Canyon system in the distance, one of the deepest canyons in South America.
